Two more!

One week old!

My friend Stephanie Pedersen once again took these fabulous photos of Colsen at about a week old. He is such a sweet little boy!

Finally, The Baby Post!!

Colsen Michael Dahlstrom
Born on August 4, 2010
7Lbs. 12 Oz. 21 inches long
Getting Ready to go home from the hospital!
Proud big Brother Bryson!

Sorry it has taken me so long to finally post. Having two kids has definitely been harder than I thought it would be but I am finally feeling like I am coming up for air and that things are starting to settle down.

The main thing we are grateful for is that Colsen's Heart defect isn't giving him any major problems and he is healthy, and doing really well. He has almost doubled his birth weight by two months which the doctors are really happy with (most babies that have congenital heart defects have trouble putting on weight). He is a sweet, happy little baby who is a very enthusiastic eater just like his big brother Bryson was.

Bryson Turns 3!

I Can't believe my little guy is three already! He has been such a joy in our lives I don't know what we would do without this little Tike!!

Here are some things about Bryson:

He loves to be outdoors as much as he possibly can!

He loves to snuggle with his mommy!

He loves to talk to everyone, in the grocery store, target, anyone I am talking to on the phone.

He likes to play games with his family.

17 Weeks!

17 Weeks!

This time around I promised myself that I would be better at documenting my pregnancy. So here you go here are my first belly shots! These are not the best pictures of me but Greg didn't really see why I wanted him to shoot pictures of my stomach at this point, and I was trying to explain to him it's so we can see the differences to come. Right now I am starting to feel really good and actually I have felt so much better this pregnancy than I did with Bryson! Bryson is telling me every day that my stomach is getting bigger, I think he will be excited to be a big brother!

Avery Christmas Party!

Every year, at least for the past three years of living here we have gone to Greg's Avery Dennison Christmas party that they do for the kids. This year Bryson had so much fun! He got to sit on Santa's lap, ride a train (multiple times), and they even give each kid a present! He got a transformer that turns into an airplane and since Bryson loves airplanes so much it was the perfect present! He was one happy kid!

Our Little Captain Jack Sparrow!

Bryson had so much fun Trick or Treating this year. We went over to the Godfrey's house and let all the kids go together, after Trick or Treating was over we put the kids to bed and us adults played Settlers of Catan, it was a great night! Thanks Ryan and Tiffany!

Crafts for Enrichment!

These are a couple of the crafts we will be doing for our Super Saturday in November! They were really easy to make, so hopefully we will have a good turnout for this!

Pumpkin Cupcakes!

These Pumpkin cupcakes are to die for! Literally, if you love pumpkin and cream cheese frosting these babies are for you! These were the treat that I made for our "under the Hood" enrichment night!

Pumpkin Cupcakes
By Martha Stewart

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin puree
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cupcake pans with paper liners; set aside. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice; set aside.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together, brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, and eggs. Add dry ingredients, and whisk until smooth. Whisk in pumpkin puree.
3. Divide batter evenly among liners, filling each about halfway. Bake until tops spring back when touched, and a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes, rotating pans once if needed. Transfer to a wire rack; let cool completely.
Cream Cheese Frosting
2 3-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
4-1/2 to 4-3/4 cups sifted powdered sugar
Beat together cream cheese, butter, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually add 2 cups of the powdered sugar, beating well. Gradually beat in enough of the remaining powdered sugar to reach spreading consistency.

It's been Forever!

I know it's been forever since I have posted anything at all! Here is one of my latest crafts that I just finished and Love, so I thought I would share it with all of you!
More posts to come soon, I promise!

The Fourth of July!!

Here are some pictures from the Fourth of July. We decided to take a trip to Washington D.C. to see Greg's brother Scott and his wife Eva. It was the first time we saw our new nephew Rhys. He was such a good baby and sooo adorable! Anyway, we had tons of fun and here are some pictures of our trip! Thanks Eva and Scott we had a blast!
